water baptisms
We believe that Jesus commanded that those who put their trust in Him should be baptized by a complete covering of water as soon as possible after coming to know Him. This is done as a public profession of their faith in Him. This is also a statement of a brand new life: the past is dead and buried in the waters of baptism.

In the Gospels, we see Jesus being baptized in water by John the Baptist. He provides a model for everyone who has put their faith and trust in Him. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation. At Riverside, we encourage every believer to be baptized as a symbol of their commitment to Jesus.
